ADOLESCENT GIRLS' INITIATIVE FOR LEARNING AND EMPOWERMENT (AGILE)
The World Bank is supporting the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Education to implement the Adolescent Girls’ Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project. The project development objective is to improve secondary education opportunities among adolescent girls in targeted areas in participating states. The current eighteen (18) participating states include: Borno, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Plateau, Ekiti, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Kwara, Kogi, Nassarawa, Niger, Sokoto, Yobe. Zamfara and Jigawa.

Safe and Accessible Space
Create Safe and Accessible Learning Spaces: This component will address supply-side constraints to girls’ education. Specifically, the component will support:

DIGITAL LITERACY
The objective of this subcomponent is to empower girls with different skill sets which will be useful as they transit to adulthood. The subcomponent has two main activities: life skills, and digital literacy skills.
SAFE SPACE
To create safe, accessible and conducive learning space
Objectives:
(i) accommodate an increase in girls’ enrolment and girls’ transition to secondary schools; and
REHABILITATION AND RENOVATION
Making school enrollment safe, accessible, inclusive, and conducive to teaching and learning. It will offer School Improvement Grants (SIG) to 203 Secondary Schools in the State to upgrade their current facilities. Read More

Empowering girls on digital training and remote learning platform.
This subcomponent supports
Basic digital literacy training and establishes a remote learning platform.
Digital Literacy programs are to be provided for all girls and boys in the targeted senior secondary schools in Ekiti State.

AGILE
The Adolescent Girls’ Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) is a World Bank assisted intervention designed to improve secondary education opportunities among girls' in targeted areas.
CCT: STUDENTS INCENTIVE AND SCHOLARSHIP
The AGILE Financial Incentive, backed by the World Bank, provides vital support to students, offering N20,000.00 to JSS and N25,000.00 to SSS pupils for two sessions. Its aim is to enhance school enrollment, assist economically disadvantaged students, promote academic achievement, and reduce the number of out-of-school children in Ekiti State.
